The PTA Honored several of our parent volunteers, faculty and admiration for their years of service at the Honorary Service Awards. it was great night and wonderful to see so many folks support those of us who make Franklin such a wonderful community. Franklin’s Annual Water Balloon Drop was back this last week! Over 50 student created water balloon safety devices that were dropped from the 2nd floor window of Ms Flynn’s classroom and it was an exciting site to see. Devices included a variety of materials including cardboard, bubble wrap, parachutes, and even a helium balloon. Thank you for all the hardworking, creative participants and congratulations to everyone who had a surviving water balloon!

Franklin students love poetry!

The PTA is incredibly proud to support our students for the last several months as they prepared and then competed against 36 schools across Los Angeles County in the Math Olympiad. A big thank you to Ms. Sheri Hynding, Ms. Beth Helphand and Ms. Dawn Silhavy for instructing, preparing and leading our teams to competition. A huge round of applause to all who participated and competed!
