Attendance Matters

One of the most important factors impacting student achievement is attendance.  This means we need students to arrive at school on time, limit tardies, and limit being signed out of school early.  If you are planning vacations, please use the district calendar to plan these trips.

For an absence to be considered an excused absence, please remember the following:

All absences must be cleared within 72 hours from the date of absence. If the unexcused absences reach three and/or excused absences become excessive (8), a truancy letter will be mailed to your home by the state.  Franklin Administration will reach out to families to work out a success plan/attendance contract to support regular attendance at school.

For more information, please view the district attendance policy at this link.
