Community Information

The community information committee oversees community outreach, legislation affecting our schools and communities, PTA membership, special education advocacy, new parent tours, and special programs and initiatives that allow the students and their families an opportunity to make a difference in the community through volunteering, fundraising, and outreach.

Committee Program Examples:

TK/kindergarten Playdate

The Franklin PTA invites Kindergarteners and TK families for a casual and fun play date on Saturday, August 19th at 10am on the Kinder yard. This is a great chance to meet other families and incoming students, as well as some of the teachers and administration.  There will also be the opportunity to ask members of the Franklin PTA any questions you may have about what to expect as a  new family at Franklin. We encourage all incoming kindergarten and TK parents, guardians, students, and siblings to attend.

Volunteer & Club Expo

Everyone has the opportunity on the first day of school to visit with the various committee heads for volunteer opportunities, meet with the school resource officer and also learn about after school programs from the Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA and Enrichment Programs through Crest, etc.
Join us on Thursday, August 24 immediately after drop off in the Cafetorium.

New Parent Tours

New and perspective families are encouraged to take tours of Franklin’s campus and to meet with PTA members and school administrators. Please check back for updates.
