The Brand-New Golden Plane Award Is Up for Grabs

The elementary school with the highest family participation will win bragging rights and the inaugural Golden Plane Award. Let’s show what the Franklin community can do! Here is the video announcing the new Award by Superintendent Dr. Antonio Shelton

The Ed Foundation’s January Participation Challenge is underway, and now it’s Franklin’s turn. Our PTA has partnered with the Ed Foundation to launch a Franklin-focused campaign, including a $25,000 matching gift from a Franklin donor.

If 100 new Franklin families donate, the LA Galaxy’s Cozmo and Star Squad will visit our school. Plus, five students from the grade with the highest participation will win a school-day trip to Van Leeuwen Ice Cream with Ms. Burton!

Participation matters—Ed Foundation donations fund Instructional Assistants and programs like P.S. ARTS and science enrichment. Currently, only 24% of Franklin families have donated. Let’s come together and show our support for public education.
