Screenagers: Film Screening at JAMS Performance Studio, Tues, Jan 27th @ 6pm

Join SMMPTA for a film screening and discussion designed for students, teachers, parents, and caregivers. This updated version of the original Screenagers film takes a fresh look at the challenges facing elementary school–aged children and the adults who support them.

The film explores timely topics such as smartwatches in the classroom, monitoring and unhooking from video gaming, social media pressures, early exposure to screens, and what research shows is a healthy amount of screen time. It also offers practical, research-based solutions that families and educators can use right away. Screening (running time 56 minutes) followed by a 20 minute discussion.
