Science Club-Mad Science Up Up and Away: Thurs, Sept 10 at 6:00pm, Blacktop

This year we will be kicking off the Franklin Science Club with: Mad Science Up Up and Away. This exciting show deals with the incredible pressure we all live under – Air Pressure! Selected students will try their best to pull apart a Magdeburg sphere, try to tame flying toilet paper and blow out a Birthday candle that has a surprise of its own. Volunteers will launch indoor hot air balloons, and ride the “Mad Science Hovercraft”. Cap it all off with a “Dinosaur Sneeze” special effect!

WHAT: Mad Science! Up Up and Away
WHEN: Thursday, September 10 at 6:00 PM
WHERE: Franklin Elementary on the black top
WHO: Open to ALL Students TK-5, no sign up needed
WHY: Because science is FUN!

All students must be supervised by a parent or guardian (ok for single parents to watch groups); no student drop offs.

More Info about Science Club:

The FSC is a parent-organized and PTA sponsored club that hosts monthly STEAM events for Franklin students (and parents!) from TK-5th grade. The events are pre-scheduled and are listed on the PTA Calendar. Event topics and content vary from month to month, and we always welcome ideas and volunteers for future events!

To receive information about upcoming FSC events, sign-up for all Science Club emails here.

Annual Recognition: Students who attend 5 FSC events and submit a Science Fair poster will receive recognition at the end of the year. 5th graders that have been recognized for this since Kindergarten get further recognition and a prize. You can get credit for events by signing in with the QR code at the event.

The Franklin Science Club would like to thank our sponsor, Dr. Abraham of Abraham Orthodontics, for their support.
