Information Regarding Potential Non-Funding of CalFresh/EBT Benefits

You may or may not have already received a notification letter about your CalFresh/EBT benefits. If not, please be aware that changes may be coming. 

In case CalFresh/EBT benefits are temporarily halted, here are some local food resources that may be helpful:

What I Need App: Use this app to locate nearby food banks, including those near school sites. You can find it in your device’s app store by searching for “What I Need App” and setting it up to connect to your local area.

Findhelp.org: Visit https://findhelp.org/ to search for food support and other social services. Just enter your ZIP code to find resources near you.

Shelter App: Available at ShelterApp.org, this app provides access to local food and shelter resources.
Feeding America: Use their food bank locator at Feeding America. Find Your Local Food Bank to find nearby food assistance.  Find Your Local Food Bank | Feeding America

CRC West LA Food Pantry: Offers free food every Friday starting at 2:00pm (first come, first served while supplies last). Arriving early (around 1:00-1:30pm) is recommended.

St. Josephs Center:  Fresh fruit/vegetables/milk products/eggs/some meat products/ cleaning supplies/ dog food/ diapers/                                                                                              Mondays and Wednesdays 10:00am – 11:50am / Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00pm – 2:50pm       

Location:  204 Hampton Drive, Venice, 90291/ Bring your ID for proof of address they service the West side.


Venice Family Clinic Free Food Markets: Fresh produce and dried goods.  1st and 3rd Tuesday 9am-11am each month.                                                            Location: Simms/Mann Health and Wellness Center 2509 Pico Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90405
