2nd Annual Franklin Chess Tournament and Exhibition: Sat, April 18th at 10:00am, Cafetorium

Join us for a fun day of chess at Franklin Elementary School!  All Franklin families are welcome.  Sign up here by Monday, March 30.

We'll start the day at 10:00 am with a time-limited 45-minute exhibition by our very own coach, Josh Gutman.  Coach Josh is a National Master and he has agreed to play up to 20 games of chess against 20 different kids, all at the same time.  Any student who wins, draws or is still in the game after 45 minutes will receive a prize.  

After the exhibition, the kids will play a chess tournament.  The top three finishers in each grade will win prizes.  In addition, the top ten overall finishers will get the chance to compete the following weekend on behalf of Franklin and play other top finishers from Roosevelt, Grant and McKinley Elementary Schools in our first-ever Inter-School Tournament.
