Dear Franklin Families, Here I am above with some of our dedicated 5th grade students and parents, who worked an all-day bake sale last weekend to raise money to support their 5th grade philanthropic project this spring; Student LunchBox, which helps collect and distribute food and essential goods to college students in need – we have donation bins for nonperishable foods in our office. What a huge success for the 5th grade class - they raised $1,400, which will be donated along with all of the food collected during the food drive. Thank you for bringing in some boxed/canned food items! Our annual Franklin Movie Night last Friday was so much fun, as we all gathered to watch Zootopia 2 – and thank you to our PTA volunteers for working the concessions stand and for all of the free popcorn they provided – so yummy! I also want to extend the sincerest appreciation, on behalf of my entire staff, to all of you, the PTA Exec Board, and all of the Room Parents for everything that you did to shower SO much appreciation during Staff Appreciation Week! You ALL went above and beyond and every detail was extremely appreciated by us all! … AND yes, I am honored to work with such an incredibly talented and dedicated group of educators every day - they bring a level of excellence, expertise, and commitment to your child that is to be commended! Thank you, thank you, parents and PTA for your kindest recognition during staff appreciation week! SO many of our students have been hard at work on their Science Fair Projects – congratulations to them for all of their experiments and scientific learning along the way. Our Science Fair Parent Volunteers have also been hard at work diligently studying all of the projects and giving them feedback – thank you for your time and dedication. It was truly an exceptional night on Wednesday at our Science Fair – I learned so much and left the Franklin cafetorium SO much scientifically smarter!
