Dear Franklin Families,

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving break. In the continued spirit of gratitude, we want to extend a huge thank you to our amazing school beautification team. They rolled up their sleeves last weekend and tackled a variety of projects to help make Franklin shine. We are truly grateful for their hard work and dedication!

Our sense of thankfulness continued this morning during our school assembly, where our TK students launched our new core value of honesty. It was heartwarming to see our youngest learners leading the way and demonstrating what honesty looks like in action. We hope this sparks meaningful conversations at home with you as our students continue learning about this important core value.

As a fun weekly highlight, I’d also like to remind everyone that Chess Club Wednesdays are in full swing! Each week, our incredible volunteers set up dozens of chess boards for students to enjoy during lunch. The space buzzes with excitement as students learn, teach one another, and challenge themselves. I even picked up a few new moves from our talented Franklin players—I’m determined to improve right alongside them! A heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated chess volunteers who make this enriching experience possible.

Meanwhile, our cafetorium is being transformed into a wonderful world of books for next week’s Book Fair, happening December 8–12. Each class will have a designated time to visit, and we encourage families to stop by after school to explore together (see details below for guest author details and open hours). We are still in need of volunteers, and your support will help make this year’s Book Fair our best yet (please see the sign-up link below).
