Hello Franklin Families,
It has been a joy meeting many of you at drop-off and pick-up these first two days, and I look forward to seeing even more of you at Back-to-School Nights and our Picnic! Visiting every classroom has been a highlight—I’ve loved seeing your children’s smiles, energy, and excitement as they dive into a new grade level, connect with new peers, and settle into routines. I am so proud to be part of this dynamic, caring, and talented team of educators who are dedicated to helping every Franklin student soar.
A huge thank-you to our wonderful PTA, who is providing Franklin T-shirts for every student and staff member this year! Please fill out your child’s size on this link as soon as possible so we can distribute shirts in time for our first Fabulous Franklin Friday. Students and staff will wear their shirts each Friday to show school spirit and for our monthly assemblies.
We also appreciate everyone who joined our Volunteer Expo on the first day of school. If you couldn’t make it, please check out the PTA’s volunteer page —we truly need and value your time and talents to keep Franklin thriving.
Year-Long Reminders:
Arrival: Please arrive between 8:15–8:27 a.m. School begins promptly at 8:30.
Label belongings: Lunch boxes, water bottles, and sweatshirts must be labeled. All unlabeled lost items will be donated on Fridays.
Devices: Cell phones and smart watches are not to come to campus, if they do bring them to school, must stay in backpacks during the school day.
Preparedness: Students should come with everything they need for the day (homework, lunch, instruments, closed-toe shoes, etc.). To build independence and responsibility, the front office cannot accept forgotten items during the school day.
First Assembly: Join us on Friday, August 29 at 8:30 a.m. on the big yard as we introduce our first Franklin Core Value: Kindness.
I am excited to get to know each of your children and to cheer them on in the many learning adventures ahead—inside the classroom and across our vibrant Franklin community.
